We supply explosion-proof and flameproof from ATB in IEC frame sizes 63 to 450 With ATB (formerly F&G) explosion-proof low-voltage motors, you get reliable, durable, and economical motors.

Our flameproof and explosion-proof electric motors are specially designed for use in hazardous areas. 
They comply with ATEX and IECEx directives and can be used in the following zones: 

  • Zone 1 – Gas atmospheres where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur
  • Zone 2 – Gas atmospheres where an explosive atmosphere is unlikely to occur
  • Zone 21 – Dust atmospheres where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur
  • Zone 22 – Dust atmospheres where an explosive atmosphere is unlikely to occur

In Zones 1 and 2, hazards arise from gas, vapour or mist. 
In Zones 21 and 22, hazards are caused by combustible dust suspended in the air.

Does Kurt Maier Motor-Press GmbH have explosion-proof motors in stock?

No, explosion-proof (Ex) motors are not kept in stock by us.

Depending on the manufacturer and configuration, the delivery time is generally between 5 and 12 weeks.
For special motors, the delivery time may be longer in individual cases.

  • Cemp and Wolong (ATB) three-phase motors can be manufactured in IE2 up to 0.75 kW and in IE3 and IE4 from 0.75 kW.
  • Exceptions are possible. Please contact us.
  • ORANGE1 three-phase motors are also available in IE2 up to 0.75 kW and in IE3 from 0.75 kW.
  • Single-phase motors (only from Cemp and ORANGE1) are available in IE2.
  • Motors that were manufactured in IE1 before 01/07/2021 may be replaced once after that date.
  • For this, the serial number of the old motor is mandatory.
  • This regulation is valid until 01/07/2029.
