Information on the External Fan
The MW fan series is designed for special voltages 115/200 V 50/60 Hz and comes with UL/CSA approval in protection class IP66.
These external fans are available in sizes 63 (56) to 112 and are ideal for applications requiring special voltage solutions.
Special Voltages (+/- 5 %)
- Single-phase 100–127 V Δ 50 Hz
- Single-phase 100–135 V Δ 60 Hz
- Three-phase 174–220 V Y 50 Hz
- Three-phase 174–234 V Y 60 Hz
Flexibility & Installation
The screwed, replaceable housings (connection adapters) can be modified to fit your motor connection dimensions. This ensures easy series installation and allows retrofit conversion to external fan operation at any time.
The fan is supplied with a housing (hood adapter) made of steel sheet, gray-primed, or optionally in stainless steel.
The dimensions are identical to the MW standard multivoltage type according to datasheet 0M.

Can the external fan also be supplied in special dimensions or configurations?
We can manufacture the external fan according to your specifications starting from just 1 piece. Please use our inquiry datasheet for this purpose.
What is the delivery time?
Standard sizes can be ordered in small quantities from stock. Custom-made external fans generally have a delivery time of 3–4 weeks.
Can I get the external fans with a finished coating?
In the standard version, our external fan housings are delivered with a gray primer. On request, they can also be powder-coated in almost any common RAL color. Alternatively, manufacturing in stainless steel is also possible.
What supply voltage can I use to operate the external fans?
Most of our external fan types have a multi-voltage connection of 346–525 V, 50 Hz or 380–575 V, 60 Hz. Sizes 63–225 even include a single-phase connection.
